The plenary meeting of the PAS Committee on Mechanics was held on April 24, 2024 at the Institute of Fundamental Technological Research PAS, Warsaw.

The  Committee adopted the following agenda:

• Opening of the meeting and adoption of the agenda,
• Information on current status of the Polish Academy of Sciences (Rules and Regulations for Scientific Committees),
• Election of the Secretary of the PAS Committee on Mechanics,
• Internal structure of the Committee, presentation of the Sections and their tasks,
• Election of the Chairmen of the Sections,
• Composition of the Committee,
• The Scientific Award of PAS Committee on Mechanics,
• Presentation of centers conducting research in Mechanics,
• Discussion on the tasks of the PAS Committee on Mechanics,
• Any other issues,
• Summary and closing of the meeting.

 

During the meeting, the Scientific Awards of the PAS Committee on Mechanics were accorded.

The Winners are:

I prize - Krzysztof WOŁOSZYK, PhD (Gdańsk University of Technology)

II prize - Mateusz KOPEĆ, PhD DSc. ( Institute of Fundamental Technological Research PAS )

III prize - Paweł CZAPSKI, PhD (Łódź University of Technology)
